Arrived in China

Well, we made it to Beijing! It was a very VERY long flight, but thankfully, uneventful! When we got to Beijing we met our guide, Cindy and she got us to our hotel. It is the Holiday Inn Express in downtown Beijing. It's very nice and actually very spacious compared to what I'd seen on other blogs and China sights. It is crazy smoggy. I can't believe how polluted the air is, almost like thick thick fog. No-one takes credit cards, and no-one takes American money or speaks English. We tried to go out to find some bottled water and tried to talk in some sort of sign language to show we wanted to buy water. We didn't get very far!!!!
